Does anyone out there think this car looks better than the previous-gen WRX???
This is a pic scanned from the new issue of Motor Trend, that was posted up on the North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club (NASIOC) forums.
The new car is available in this Mazda3 wannabe wagon style only. Changes for 2008 include the ridiculous chrome grill, awful clear taillights and front brakes sporting 2 piston calipers in place of last year’s 4 piston units.
It looks like Subaru is continuing in the tradition of the hideous B9 Tribeca SUV. What’s the STi going to look like if this is the starting point? This is a BIG win for Mitsubishi – I am looking forward to seeing more EVOs on the roads!

Hi, I'm
Vinay, congrats on making me laugh. The first thing I did when I got home from washing the Lude was check my Netvibes… and I saw this posts title like a sore thumb.. hilarious and well done.
I do agree it looks rather hideous, and that front grill does look a little Chrysler’ish…
What a cheap design… hopefully someone in charge gets fired because this horrible science experiment type of automobile breading has got to end NOW.
I cant believe how sick the WRX was when it came out, to where it has progressed!
I liked the old WRX, but that new one just looks bad, period. And it’s ridiculous that that is the only style they are offering. That is definitely a step back for Subaru.
Now that I have seen what the next generation WRX looks like, I am certain my choice for the WRX I would most like to have is from the current generation (2002-2007.) The WRX I would choose would be a white 2006 STi. They have best front ends of the 3 different styles, and I like how the white looks with the snazzy blue/black interior.
