The same guys do not work on the GT-R as other Nissans. If you knew more about the car, instead of spouting off misinformation, people in general wouldn’t make such uninformed comments.

You’d know only the dealer principal or gm of dealership can sell you the car. And you’d also know that you get appointed the senior service manager, and at least 1 certified GT-R tech (usually the senior tech – sometimes two). Nobody else can even sit in the car. The ownership experience has been unlike I’ve ever had. If you got a Porsche and took it, you’d be just another Porsche owner. But when I show up at the dealership (perhaps just to get the free nitrogen), always preferred treatment, head of line, grade A treatment everytime.

If you’d like some factual information about the car, instead of whatever you read on the serious internets, let me know. Because there is more myths about this car than I can even imagine, and comments like your’s, perpetuate the ignorance.

This makes me want a GT-R, but even if i had the money, I still wouldn’t buy one for the same reason I wouldn’t buy a Viper or Vette: Do you *really* want the same guys who work on $16k Sentras, Neons or Cobalts working your $80k GT-R, Viper or Vette?

I wouldn’t either. If I lay down that much cheese on a car, I want the BEST guys working on it, not some kid outta high school who can’t hold down a job for more than a month.

I owned a Porsche and they are the biggest heap of shit on the planet. Sure they look great, go great but its the fucking downtime on the heaps of shit. From the showroom floor they burn oil. This is natural. And when I went to the sell the heap of crap, the wankers I had to deal with. Other so called Porsche owners. What a bunch of knobs. Any wanker Porsche owner who says they never have had any mechanical problems with their Porsche is a fucking arse liar. I used to be one and say such half cocked excuses. “Break down is a part owning a Porsche.”
My advice. If you are contemplating buying a Porsche, Just buy the fucking badge and wear it around you neck. Because really thats all you are buying, just a name. Everyone’s an expert except for the people who know! Anthony Carbone you look like a WANKER!

Skylines win hands down at the end of the day!
Look at the price you pay for one compared to a porsche, whoever mentioned a porsche carrera gt(yes that is fit) thats 300k+
A nissan GT-R stock is quicker than that stock, imagine if you gave a gear head 100k to spend and do whatever shit he wanted to it but just to make it as fast as possible.

And driving a skyline is just cool

I have owned 3 gtrs a 90 godzilla,a 97 vspec and a 34 99 ,they really cant be compared to a normal nissan , the porsche is a well engineered car no doubt about it and i have driven a few ,but the gtr is the best in handling in my opinion and the power is amazing with a few tweaks these things can go hard and are reliable ,im intending to get one of these new ones the road tests were really good and i would back one of these against a porsche anyday in a race, especially in the wet where they really excell ,if they ever get the weight down like porsche they will really go .But i must admit how porsche get the power they do out of their normal six is pretty darn good and great engineering . If anyone remembers the flogging the gtr dished out in bathurst it showed how reliable and fast they were, and they those 700 hp v8s standing in the straight and that was after they were handicapped 200 hp ,the earlier ones can get up to 1000 hp without too much of a problem ,

hey look at it this way. the legendery (skiline)GTR is the only car which a video game was depending on to bring it glory. where would Gran Turismo be without a skyline in it? definitly not where it is today.nissan is jus an awsome company, we got nissan 4 cyl running low 7’s, 350z doing mid 6’s, the best 4wd/awd system on the planet, we’ve done land speed reords n broken so many track records, so i dont give a shit about what any body wants 2 say “ThIER GREAT”. oh jus one ? how many engines out there can take 35psi on stock parts? cause n sr20 did.

The new GTR is an amazing car, no matter who it’s made by, but that doesn’t take anything away from how great the cars that Porsche has come up with are… some people would rather pay an extra 30k-100k for the ‘look’ and proven track record of a Porsche. I think the problem Porsche guys have is a lower end company (price wise) is now playing with the big boys… nobody mentioned ferrari or those other ‘exotic’ car makers… cars like the Carrera GT show how much Porsche isn’t just a name… they build exceptional cars, if anything they set standards. Just be happy to live in a time where you get to witness or even drive such great pieces of machinery. We used to ride around on horses….

Porsche is a over-rated, glorified beetle! You all just a bunch of sheep following years of brainwashing from brilliant marketing. You all want to get into your investigations of cars and safety. You overlooking the fact that NO german car in the world measures up to the reliability of Nissan, Toyota, Honda and even Hyundai for that matter.
