Military Inspired Collection of Flat Black Exotic Cars

I always thought that a flat black was for people who lived in trailer parks. Spray bombing your car in flat black is easy and easily conceals any imperfections, over spray and dirt that would otherwise be visible on a glossy home made paint job.

I am warming up to the flat black paint scheme on exotic cars because it reminds me of stealth fighter planes, and I love military stealth planes.

Why are stealth planes always flat black looking?

According to Wikipedia Stealth Aircraft “In 1975, engineers at Lockheed Skunk Works found that an airplane made with faceted surfaces could have a very low radar signature because the surfaces were arranged to scatter over 99% of a radar’s signal energy “painting” the airplane.” These facets were also made out of a very dense energy absorbing material which would further absorb radar signals.
