Husmen 699 GTO Concept!!!

We all love renderings of both future production vehicles and cars that will never see a production line in our lifetime. The Husmen 699 GTO likely falls in the latter camp, but that doesn’t make it less impressive. Designed by Emre Husmen, a Transportation Design student at IED - Turin, the 699 GTO takes inspiration from a file folder of past Ferraris including the 250 GTO, 250 TR, P4, the current 599 GTB Fiorano and even Alfa Romeo’s 8C Competizione. Quite a collection of muses, but the resulting work speaks for itself. Husmen says that while the 699 GTO sports dimensions similar to that of a present day 599, it would be 200 kg lighter thanks to its carbon fiber body and feature a twin-supercharged V8 that runs on biofuel. Oh, and for those worried about clipping curbs or trying to park this thing at the mall, it’s fitted with a hydraulic suspension and rear backup camera to aid the driver in real world situations.

Unlike most renderings AutoBlog receives from design students, the 699 GTO isn’t entirely a pie-in-the-sky art project. Husmen claims that he is in contact with a coachbuilder in Italy that’s considering putting the car into production. He said they wanted feedback on the car first, and that’s what we’re here for.
