Nissan and GM have both released press statements and videos bragging about their amazing lap times around the northern loop of the Nurburgring. Much debate and speculation has exploded into the authenticity of each vehicles “ring runs” between Nissan’s GT-R (Godzilla Awakes on Steroids) and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (King of the Road).

Garage419 points our the timer displays for both vehicles do not use the same starting and end point so they added their own timer for comparison. Clearly there is one vehicle that is faster, but we will leave the analysis and final decision up to you!

The northern loop of the Nurburgring, nicknamed The Green Hell by Jackie Stewart, is considered by many to be the most difficult, most demanding and most treacherous purpose-built race track in the world. As a result, it has become the standard test track which auto manufacturers utilize to compare the performance of their cars for pre and post production.
