Jay Leno test drives the 2008 Shelby SSC Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo Coupe, the world’s fastest production car.
Produced by Shelby Super Cars (not to be confused with Carroll Shelby International), the SSC Aero is an American-built sports car, verified by the Guinness World Records as the fastest production car in existence. With 1183 hp and 1094 ft.-lbs of torque, the SSC Aero has been clocked at 257 mph and does 0-60 in 2.78 seconds.
