Many rumors have been flying today that Michael Schumacher or his Son Mick (9 years old) had crashed a prototype Ferrari 430 Scuderia while testing at the Nordschleife circuit at the Nurburgring. (Yes its rather rediculous to think that Schumacher would let his 9 y.o. son drive a 430 Scud Missile on a wet track, but I am just reporting what has been said.)
A recent update at one of my favorite sources (autoblog.nl) for solid and up to the minute automotive information has just provided an update that it was apparently test driver Raffaele Simone who gave the 430 Scuderia a minor face lift this morning.
It still burns my ass that automotive blogs (Brian Potter at WorldCarFans.com) refer to the 430 Scuderia as an F430 Scuderia. Drop the F for fuck sake and get it right.
Track conditions were reported as damp, and you can clearly see his son’s silhouette in the passenger seat, even though this could have been before Simone was driving and thus crashing the guardrail at 250 km/h (155 mph).
