An American tuner that I have never heard of until today – Vorsteiner has recently attempted to recreate the tweaking of BMW CSL models, which pumped out extra power and were more exciting to drive. Why not leave the CSL to BMW? Well BMW’s M Division chief Ludwig Willisch apparently recently revealed the company wouldn’t be building a CSL version of the current M3 because there wasn’t enough projected demand for the car.

Vorsteiner’s latest creation replaces original parts with carbon-fiber replacements, and adds a beautiful tuned titanium exhaust that not only shaves weight but opens up the engine sound.

The M3’s new V8 has also had its engine re-mapped and now pushes out an extra 40hp (29kW), raising it to 460hp (343kW), while it’s torque has also been increased to 328lb-ft (445Nm), up from the standard 295lb-ft (400Nm). Also, that pesky speed limiter has been removed, allowing the Vorsteiner M3 to reach almost 200mph (320km/h)!!
