My sister has the new Camaro SS and I kind of considered this car to be a green version of it. I was really excited to buy one. Now it has lost all (visual) appeal…if I wanted a Prius I would get one! And for half the price.

I’m so bummed that the concept, which is SLICK, wasn’t the production model. I would seriously get one of the concepts. I don’t think I like the bland look of the production.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the Prius. It looks like an Aveo. There is nothing wrong with having style to your car. The prius is far from stylish!! It is a joke to look at… especially how far we have come in design technology and that is the best they could do with the looks.

The concept has more style and was a wonderful new concept to the average every day sedan look. It has been long over due for a new look. It is unfortunate that GM chose to blend in their new car and not keep some of the concepts stylish looks: rear wheel curves, long hood, sporty windows (similar to the 300 srt8) It was a new approach to sporty sedans. I only hope that GM decides to make a model with a look closer to the concept. If they do, I’ll be in line to buy… If not, there is always the camry or altima hybrid that looks good for the price.

This shows that Detriot does not understand what it takes to be profitable. Given a choice between the a concept car design with slightly lower gas mileage and the ugly prius design with better gas mileage, there’s not even a question as to which would outsell the other. Folks love cool looking things and love to make a statement. The concept car generated excitement. Now there’s little reason to buy the volt when you can buy the prius for less (which will also be coming out with plug-in version).

The concept volt is way better. Im a young (under 20) driver who doesnt really like the electric cars, but if they had made the production car the concept I could consider it a cool car. Now, Its not.

the concept looked a bajillion times cooler, but i geuss they had to tone it down to make sure they targeted the right demographic.
