Obviously you've never driven one. :) That sounds like the comment of someone who has never been behind the wheel of anything more powerful than his mothers minivan. The Miata has an engine quite adequate for the size and weight of car. You can go through tires pretty quickly if you're too heavy on the gas pedal. Simple modifications can also greatly improve the HP. The Miata also has the distinction of being one of the few sports cars that are completely balanced over each tire. Not a big thing for Muscle cars, but it means a lot in handling and cornering, something that the Miata excels in. @douggie LOL!
