The 2009 Canadian International AutoShow starts this week at the Metro Toronto Convention Center from Feb 13th to the 22nd, 2009. This year’s AutoShow encompasses over 850,000 sq. ft. in the North & South Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Rogers Centre. Over 1,000 new cars and trucks will be on display featuring several North American and Canadian premieres. The New Era is here and I plan on capturing all these vehicles for your viewing pleasure!

Don’t forget to take a peek at some of the cars from last years 2008 Toronto AutoShow Pictures which included the Lamborghini Theatre.

This years theme revolves around “THE NEW ERA” which is based on our current economic realities and the rapidly changing consumer lifestyle choices. Consumers want vehicles which are more fuel efficient and the automakers must create solutions that meet an entirely new set of criteria: New engine technologies which include the next generation of hybrids, advanced fuel cells and electric plug-ins.

The AutoShow is a 36 year tradition of celebrating Canada’s love of the automobile. Providing a showcase of what’s new and what’s next. 2009 guarantees to usher in new concepts which will leap off the drawing board onto the turntable, and will provide a stunning glimpse of where the industry is headed!
