NASCAR Spending in 2009

2009 has not been a wonderful year so far in the automotive world. So far we have seen Honda’s F1 Racing come to an end and Audi Leave the American Le Mans Series. NASCAR on the other hand has only lost 6% of it’s 2009 sponsorship money.
A recent report by IEG has found that North American companies have netted $3.3 Billion USD for racing sponsorships in 2009. This figure only represents a $200 Million USD drop from 2008 and is the first time NASCAR has seen a dip in sponsorship in 20 years!
