Well it’s already that time of the year here in Toronto, Ontario, all the tuners are anxious to switch off their winter tires and replace them with the low profiles and hit the streets to flash their latest modifications. Performance World is this years first custom car and truck show and takes place next weekend March 13, 14, 15, 2009 at the International Center – 6900 Airport Rd, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 2009 has not been a wonderful year so far in the automotive world. So far we have seen Honda’s F1 Racing come to an end and Audi Leave the American Le Mans Series. NASCAR on the other hand has only lost 6% of it’s 2009 sponsorship money.
A recent report by IEG has found that North American companies have netted $3.3 Billion USD for racing sponsorships in 2009. This figure only represents a $200 Million USD drop from 2008 and is the first time NASCAR has seen a dip in sponsorship in 20 years!

Chef Aaron Billington, admitted that he caused damage Jay Kay’s Enzo Ferrari following “deeply offensive” remarks by Jay Kay. Aaron commented that his smashing of the windshield was “a moment of utter madness” after himself and other staff had been drinking with Jay Kay at a hotel where they worked in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. Jay Kay returned to his seafront room early Tuesday morning and saw Aaron whipping stones at his Enzo Ferrari!

Here is a 701hp Honda S2000 tuned and built by T1 Race Development. Car has stock motor, transmission, and rear end. Bullseye Power S372R turbo, dual 44mm TiAl wastegate, T1 1000 cc saturated fuel injectors, T1 Race 4″ side exit downpipe.

Aston Martin revived their dormant Lagonda by introducing a new concept at the Geneva International Motor Show for their 100th anniversary. The Lagonda Concept is a 4WD crossover which draws on inspiration from historic Lagonda models yet is very futuristic looking sporting 22 inch wheels and an unspecified V12 engine which should be powered via flex-fuel and hybrid come production.

Koenigsegg maker of the amazing CCX and CCXR (Pictures & Video) released their new Koenigsegg Quant Concept. It is a 4 seat solar & electric supercar designed by the automaker and solar energy specialists NLV Solar.
Production version is estimated to have a 500 km (311 mile) range, with batteries able to charge in 20 minutes. Total weight of the vehicle is 1780kgs (3916 lbs).

As a quick follow up to this mornings Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire Pictures post, here is a Video of it’s unveiling at this years 79th Geneva International Motor Show. This car is for sale for $1.9 Milllion USD and is wearing a special shade of blue reminiscent of the Bugatti EB 110 and also the historical color of Bugatti’s racing teams.

Thanks to our friends at Autoblog.nl who have released the first photos of the new Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire (Blue Centennial) from the Geneva Internation Motor Show. This limited edition Bugatti Veyron sports a two tone matte and gloss Blue paint job, some new LED headlights borrowed from the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport, aluminum inlets, chrome mirrors and some brushed aluminium and some new forged alloy wheels.
