BMW has been working on a few new models such as 328 Hommage, M1 Hommage and now the CSL 3.0 Hommage. The Bavarians carmaker unveiled the new CSL 3.0 Hommage at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este with other classic and vintage cars.

The CSL has been redesigned to have a modern look but also retain its original DNA. BMW has accomplished to give the car a muscular look with sharp bold lines, twin kidney like grills, aerodynamic spoilers and other features.

Even though all of these features are outstanding to revive the CSL, it will not be production car. Frank van Meel, CEO of BMW Division says “The 3.0 CSL Hommage is a show car to test out some design features. We are looking into a response to the show car but for us it’s always to get the feedback on whether people think it’s really cool. It’s not an overall concept we are thinking to make.”

Even though not much technical specification is known, it will have a 3L engine to drive the rear wheels and an electric motor for increased torque.
