The most exquisite collection of cars will be auctioned this August at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Out of the 30 car collection, only a few have been revealed and the preview list itself is astonishing. The bigger surprise is that the whole collection is owned privately by one anonymous car enthusiast. Shelby Myers of RM Sotheby’s defines the collection as “The Pinnacle Portfolio […] assembled with a clandestine, surgical precision unlike any other that has come to market. Its almost obsessive focus on perfection, […] makes it the most significant and valuable private collection of motor cars ever presented at auction.”

Veyron Chassis 001

Some of the cars at the auction will be the first production Bugatti Veyron, one of last built McLaren F1, the 400th Enzo Ferrari which also happens to be the last production car. Enzo was also a gift to Pope John Paul II from Former Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. Others cars including the Koenigsegg CCXR, Porsche 959 and exotic Lamborghini Reventón will be auctioned. Reports believe that the auction sales will exceed $65 million.
