Rezvani Beast: The Next Supercar?

Rezvani motors have unveiled the finished production model of their Beast supercar. The Beast is modeled from the lightweight, track-focused Ariel Atom, but with an actual windshield, more aggressive angles and some rather useful fenders.

Under the hood lies an upgraded version of the Atom’s 2.4-liter four-cylinder, including both a supercharger and turbocharger, pushing out 500 horsepower, sprinting 0-60 mph in a mere 2.7 seconds. That’s roughly on par with an $845,000 Porsche 918- only at 1/7th of the price. The performance is accessible through a six-speed manual gearbox. The Beast is currently on sale; in fact, a few have been sold and are currently on their way to their first-mover owners.

“We wanted to get back to the basics,” Ferris Rezvani told Yahoo Autos last year. “We wanted to get back to a raw feel, a car with real tactile feedback, with a lightweight chassis.”

Rezvani has overcome a challenge posed to every supercar-maker: getting to the roads. It’s exciting to see a new automobile surface this way and we’re excited to see what’s to come from Ferris and his team.
