According to a report by Motor Trend, the Lamborghini Huracan Roadster is scheduled to make it’s official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016. Yes we will be there to cover it the world debut! A tweet recently sent from Senior Features Editor at Motor Trend, Jonny Lieberman, discussed his anticipation to see the Huracan Roadster premier in 2016 at Geneva. This insider news serves as Lamborghini’s perfect counter attack to the recently debuted Ferrari 488.

Additional details remain unclear, though the same 5.2-liter V10 engine that generates 602 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque currently powering the Huracan will likely power the Roadster edition. The hardtop version offers a 0-62 mph leap in 3.2 seconds, though the roadster will likely suffer a mild performance penalty due to an increase in weight.

There is even opportunity for the Huracan Roadster to feature the detachable roof concept present on the Aventador Roadster, providing steadier performance maintenance upon detachment. All in all, Lamborghini has yet to officially announce the Huracan Roadster, but more details will likely surface ahead of the Geneva Debut scheduled for March of 2016.
