If you ever thought that the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is underpowered with 469 hp or 503 in S guise, boy do we have some good news for you! Brabus, makers of ludicrously overpowered Mercedes-Benzes, has graciously given the AMG GT the full Brabus work through. Dubbed the Brabus GT, it really is something to behold.

Brabus GT

First and foremost, Brabus, as always, has given the engine a thorough massaging and has managed to extract 600 hp from the twin-turbo 4.0L V8. Torque has also risen to a healthy 553 lb-ft, up from 443 or 479 for the S. In the words of Brabus themselves, “ You can never have too much power, especially in a sports car”. Indeed Brabus, indeed. All this translates to a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds, and up to a top speed of 201 mph. This means that you can do many foolish things, such as going sideways and turning the rear tires into a cloud of smoke.

However, the engine isn’t the only thing that Brabus has massaged throughout the car. Other goodies include a full carbon fiber aero kit, monoblock alloy rims, a retuned suspension that drops the car by 0.6 inches, and a fully reworked interior. This is so that you can justify to yourself, and your friends about the amount of money that you spent. No word on pricing yet, however it will be a hefty premium over near $200,000 CAD asking price for the AMG GT.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the Brabus GT at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show, which starts this week Thursday September 17, 2015 for the public.
