Importfest 2008 will be hitting Downsview Park this weekend in Toronto and it looks like its going to be a beautiful weekend for participants and photographers at the outdoor event! It’s been a couple weeks since my last car shows 2008 Detroit Dub Show Tour Photos and 2008 Hot Import Nights in LA Photos so I will be dusting off my Canon XTi to snap up as many photos of modified and exotic cars as well taking a tonne of pics of all the bikini and car models

Honda originally planned to show off the next generation NSX to the seething throngs at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show. But due to some rough reception the Acura Advanced Sports Car concept took at the Detroit show, Honda’s designers headed back to their drawing boards to redesign the front clip on this 550 hp, 4.5-liter V10.

This weekend saw the debut of the 4^th generation Audi A4 DTM at the season opener at Hockenheim and once again the Audi can celebrate another racing success with a commanding 1-2-3 finish with Mattias Ekström (the Swede BALLER) taking the flag ahead of Timo Scheider and Tom Kristensen in 2^nd and 3^rd place respectively.

The new A4 DTM which made a brief appearance back at the Geneva Motor Show features a number of new innovative features with particular attention focused on the aerodynamics. The Engineers used CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) calculations to work on the vehicle’s airflow and the technology specialists have managed to lower the center of gravity as well as reduce the overall dry weight of the car. Power comes courtesy of the 4.0L - V8 engine pumping out 460hp!

Audi have well and truly taken bragging rights after this first race, race winner Mattias Ekström averaged over half a second quicker per lap over the fastest Mercedes of the day! This latest victory also takes Mattias Ekström (the Swede BALLER) to 11 career wins making him the most successful DTM racer of all time.

Last friday (April 4, 2008) the Arabrun 2008 took over Dubai! For the second year in a row (1st Annual Dubai Arab Run 2007 Coverage Here) this event brought together some of the most expensive and powerful supercars on the planet for a one-day driving event. Visiting most of Dubai and it’s surroundings, the cars drew a crowd at almost every intersection. Among the cars entered were a Bugatti Veyron, Porsche Carrera GT, Mansory Continental GTC, McLaren SLR Roadster and many many more exotics! Sadly one of the Murcielago Roadsters didn’t survive a short encounter with one of Dubai’s many high curbs but other than that the event went flawless.
