The 2012 Auto Exotica is an exotic and luxury car display at the 2012 Canadian International Autoshow in Toronto Ontario also known as the 2012 Toronto Autoshow.

On display was a Light Blue Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin One-77, Aston Martin Virage, Aston Martin Vantage S Convertible, Aston Martin Rapide, Rolls Royce Ghost, Rolls Royce Mulsane, Bentley Continental GTC, Red Lamborghini SuperTrofeo Stradale, White Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, Lotus Evora S, Lotus Exige S, Fisker Karma, Tesla Roadster, 2012 Porsche 911 (991) Carrera S, Porsche Panamera Turbo, Burnt Orange McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari 458 and Ferrari 458 Spider, Maserati’s and last but absolutely not least the PAGANI ZONDA R!!

Another year, another slow economy for the USA and specifically sunny Las Vegas, yet the 2011 SEMA Show Photos seems to be packed full of modified and exotic cars. It truly is something to visit SEMA, and see all the sweat, blood and money that goes into some of the custom cars and trucks at this show. Good morning beautiful sunny California! Today is day practice day before 2 days of races at the Laguna Seca 2011 Ferrari Racing Days at the Mazda Raceway in Monterey. I arrived in San Francisco yesterday and warmed up my 5DMKII by visiting Lamborghini San Francisco and Bentley San Francisco.

Among the Ferrari Racing events I am most excited to see the hardcore track only versions of the Ferrari 458, Ferrari FXX and Ferrari 599XX screaming around the track! Stay tuned for full video and photo coverage!

5 Years after Ferrari unveiled their F430 challenge production model at the 2005 LA Auto Show, Ferrari throws down (just in time for Xmas) with the introduction of the Ferrari 458 challenge (based off the Ferrari 458 Italia)

Like all challenge cars, the engine remains untouched (V8 with 570hp), but performance upgrades include the vehicles F1 gearbox gearing and significant weight loss via carbon fiber and plastic modifications. Also a 1st for Ferrari track-only challenge cars is the use of an E-Diff electronic differential already employed on the road-going version.

It also has a hardcore race tuned suspension setup, stiffer springs lowered by 50mm, single-rate alloy dampers, centre-nut 19-inch forged wheels, Pirelli slicks, new-generation Brembo CCM2 brakes integrated with the latest ABS system, which debuted on the Ferrari 599XX.

Another first for a Ferrari Challenge model is the adoption of the F1-Trac traction control system, the most sophisticated of its kind, says Ferrari. Developed in-house by the automaker, the F1-Trac system constantly monitors levels of grip for maximum high-performance road holding.

Although the Ferrari 458 challenge was originally presented at the Ferrari Annual Dealer Meeting in July 2010, the Bologna Motor Show world debut marks it’s official production arrival. Ferrari claims that the 458 challenge is 2 seconds faster than the Ferrari 430 Challenge at the Fiorano test track and only 0.2 seconds slower than their military grade Enzo Ferrari, the Ferrari FXX Evoluzione. Thanks to Stephan Bauer for the tip on this post! Looks like someone over in Europe has taken their recently acquire Ferrari 458 Italia and vinyl wrapped it with a Siberian Desert camouflage design! Pretty wild, I think it would look pretty sweet up close even it is just a vinyl wrap.
