Hot Wheels Honda V10 Racer

Hot Wheels celebrating their 40th anniversary had a Mattel “Hot Wheels Designer’s Challenge” which provided major car manufacturers, such as Lotus and Mitsubishi, to go wild with their own automobile interpretations. In that vein, Honda presented the Honda Racer!

Ferrari FXX - Pedal Powered Go-Kart !!

The Ferrari FXX pedal go-cart is a mighty good way for you to initiate your kids into becoming Ferrari worshippers like you and also have loads of fun racing around the block. This go-cart uses the good old pedal power to push it forward which means that it is safer than the motorised go-carts because you can’t go too fast in this one.

I love the five spoke alloys, complete with the Ferrari logo which makes this cart look very hot. The go-cart also sports disc brakes and even a seatbelt for it’s racing seat. So that means, no nasty crashes with overenthusiastic kids (or pushy parents) managing to push the go-cart to the extreme. You even have an on-board chip to measure your lap times and top speeds.

Pretty sick, almost makes me want to have a kid just to buy this thing… (just kidding) :P

Campagna T-Rex - Redesign by Johnatan Côté

Industrial designer Johnatan Côté of Morelli Designers is proposing a complete redesign of the Campagna T-Rex trike. The biggest change is the removal of the roof, which consisted of little more than a couple of tubes in the first place, but added vital roll-over protection and structural fortitude to the vehicle. Coupled with a more dynamic, modern design, the updated T-Rex proposal also incorporates more storage space, doing away with the optional saddle-bags on the current model while increasing much-needed capacity for things like crash helmets and groceries.

Blackberry 9000 - The Evolution of Perfection

blackberry-9000-itw-11.jpg

This news just hit the web this morning, and while it has no direct relationship to cars, it does however fit into the gadget and technology area. Being a blackberry evangelist myself (still have the 7250 for another couple weeks) I feel the urge to promote the sickest of smartphones built by a Canadian company Research in Motion.

I present to you, the Blackberry 9000, FINALLY with WiFi BABY!

The first thought on my minds when I saw the BlackBerry 9000 was, “that’s it?” RIM’s been taking on increasingly sharp competition as of late — even in its traditional corporate strongholds — and we’d expected and hoped to see something less evolutionary and more revolutionary from these Engineers. The phone’s lines seem flow really well without losing its purpose-suited stance exuded by the 8300s, 8700s, and 8800s. The real kicker, though, might be the beautiful user interface, which has been totally revamped from the ground up; gone is the cartoonish look and feel of the current lineup, replaced with a modern, warm theme with wireframe icons and slick animations. Another big win: as Vodafone’s slide deck mentioned, the 9000 features both WiFi and HSDPA, confirmed by this particular example’s info display. Too little, too late — or is this thing a genuine threat in the marketplace this year? Check out the video of the hot new user interface in action!

SPEED TRAP MASHUP

Here is a very cool website application which uses Microsoft Live Earth mashed up with some user submitted locations in North America where tickets have been issued due to Police Speed Traps!

I just checked out some of these apparent speed traps where I live (Mississauga, Ontario) and they are accurate!! Apparently there are over 50,000 user submissions. Very cool, Very useful, especially for the 2008 Bullrun - Calgary To Phoenix!

Mines have developed adjustable coil over suspension, a 400mm brake kit, high-flow catalysts and a more freer-flowing titanium exhaust system. This has already seen a 20bhp hike in dyno tests and the firm is busying itself working on the ECU to allow the car to run higher boost levels.
