Recent Porsche Panamera headlines strongly suggest that Porsche will be producing a 2 door, 4 seat Panamera Convertivle! “We have a broad range of 14 derivatives of the 911 that are very successful,” development chief Wolfgang Duerheimer told Automobilwoche. “So it stands to reason we should diversify the lineup for the Panamera as well.” Wolfgang also said that “the new Porsche (Panamera) offers the potential for synergies.”….. we’ll see

James Glickenhaus, the famous owner of the only 1 off coach-built Enzo Ferrari P4/5 has recently made plans with Ferrari that he’s finally ready to launch a North American Racing Team (N.A.R.T).

Glickenhaus commented that the specifics around engine/chassis/gearbox/design has been figured out and should be made public soon. The photo above is a rendering by Michiel Van Den Brink which is a “very rough” idea of what it should look like. Glickenhaus also that “we’re still working out the details and should have an image and specifications in a few weeks”!

“We’re looking for one major sponsor. That race gets 250k spectators and a lot of TV. In addition we could do other races and when her racing days are over we’d keep her in that livery and she’d go to a lot of events. There’d be a lot exposure and it’s not going to cost Crazy money,” said Glickenhaus.

In addition to looking for money (which in reality, he does not really need to make this plan happen), Glickenhaus also indicated an interest in participating in the 24 Hours Of Nürburgring.

In recent interview Ferrari’s CEO and managing director Amedeo Felisa revealed that Ferrari currently has 3 new V12 Supercars in development! With the recent beautiful debut of the Ferrari 458 Italia which replaces the F430, and their brand new offering the Ferrari California (most suitable for your girlfriend or wife), Ferrari has a tri-factor soon to be unleashed.

The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (the least of many peoples favorite Ferraris) which has been out since 2004 is due to be replaced sometime in 2012.

Next up for replacement is the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, which has been in production since 2006 and recently issued the Ferrari 599 HGTE package to keep it competitively fresh in the marketplace will also be up for renewal in 2015.

Last but certainly not least comes the highly anticipated Enzo Ferrari replacement. No set date has been said as to when we could expect the V12 monster to make its way to the web via some spy pics, but do expect it to be just as bad ass as the Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari F40 and Ferrari F50 all where when they respectively made their own debuts!

Here is the 2nd Bugatti Bordeaux Teaser Pic to be revealed. As you can see this 4 door sedan will have a beautiful arrangement of 8 tailpipes! Rumors suggest it will house the same 8.0-liter W16 pumping out 1001 hp and 920 ft-lbs of torque as the Bugatti Veyron giving it the fastest 4 door on earth title.

That quad-turbo engine will presumably be equipped with the same 1,001 HP and 920 Lb-Ft of torque rating, easily making this the fastest four-door ever.

New rumors circulating over the past couple days now strongly suggest that the new Bugatti Sedan which will should be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show will be called the Bugatti Bordeaux. Here are some more concept photos which do not represent past rumours of a 4 door sedan, nor does do the tail lights look like the Bugatti Bordeaux Teaser Picture released at a private Bugatti launch party.

The Bugatti Bordeaux is expected to house the 8L W16 quad turbo engine found on the Bugatti Veyron. That monster engine produces 1001 hp, and 1250 Nm of torque, which would put the Bordeaux on the exotic map as the fastest 4 seater sedan on the planet. It will be interesting to see the final product and how it matches up (at all) to these recent concept photos.

Now it seems that Bugatti (who is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year) will be revealing a brand new 4 door model at the Frankfurt Auto Show this fall believed to be called the Bugatti Royale or Bordeaux. For those (such as myself) questioning “what is a shooting brake”?

According to Wikipedia: A Shooting-brake is a 2-door car body style with a squared-off rear which generally have hatchbacks although one or a pair of side-hinged doors are also sometimes seen.

The term originated with custom built 2-door luxury estate cars altered for use by hunters and other sportsmen such as golfers, riders, and polo players requiring easy access to larger storage areas than offered by the typical automobile boot.

Thanks to my friend Tim for providing this picture while out at lunch in Liberty Village (Toronto, Ontario) yesterday. Tim spotted the behemoth Knight XV filming on set for an upcoming movie!

When I spoke with the Knight XV owners at Performance World 2009, they hinted that the monstrous armored vehicle would be in an upcoming movie but would not comment on which one. Two separate industry sources have indicated that it was most likely the Scott Pilgrim Vs The World movie

After countless hours of surfing the net this week, we came across this entertaining 3 part video challenge between two young American rappers.

It all starts off in the first video (Video 1 Below) where 18 year old rapper Soulja Boy (Deandre Ramone Way) is showing off his brand new white Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (100% stock). At the end of the video Soulja Boy calls out 21 year old Bow Wow (Shad Gregory Moss) to race his Lamborghini Murcielago for pink slips.

Bow Wow then answers back in video (Video 2 Below) by showing up in his orange Murcielago slammed on Asanti wheels rocking a full sound system and trashes Soulja Boy not only for his pronunciation but for bragging about his Gallardo, calling it a poor man’s Lambo!

Finally Soulja Boy answers back (Video 3 Below) calling out Bow Wow and claiming he is full of shit because he is rolling in a rented Lamborghini. He claims to have ‘figured out’ (very wrongly) that Bow Wow’s Lambo is rented.

UPDATE Feb 6 @ 4pm (EST): Just found another response (Video 4 Below) where BOW WOW starts trash talking Soulja Boy (who he now refers to as RAMONE as a dis) about how he can’t even come to the race unless he’s got a Murcielago. He also shows his ownership slip and then explains how he is a ‘Corporate Ni%%er’ and flashes his BLACK AMEX CARD. He goes on to say that he talked to the CEO of Lamborghini and is in talks with the Speedchannel to sponsor the race.

Correction: Soulja Boy says his car is a brand new 2010, yet it’s NOT a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

Note: Bow Wow says his car is $450K, but that is just embellishment – It doesn’t mean that’s what he paid, or that he doesn’t know what they cost. (btw, a new fully loaded LP640 roadster can easily top $400K USD MSRP.)

Correction: Soulja Boy shows a Prestige Rental website shot that shows an orange Lamborghini LP640 (see here) and incorrectly says it’s the same car. Bow Wow clearly has a Murcielago 6.2 coupe, which isn’t the same car!

NOTE: Bow Wow’s orange Murcielago isn’t rented. He bought it a while back from Lamborghini Miami. The referenced article is wrong and is full of errors. They say they know it’s rented because it has a Prestige plate on the front, and in Miami there’s Prestige Luxury Auto Rentals that rent Lamborghinis, and their website has a pic of an orange Murcielago that they rent out, however it is a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 (see here), clearly not the same car. To clarify Prestige is also known as Lamborghini of Miami, i.e. the largest Lamborghini dealership in the USA.

So we wouldn’t call Bow Wow a bullshitter. But Soulja Boy is clearly bullshitting, because first off there’s no 2010 Gallardo (yet), and his Gallardo isn’t even an 09, cause it’s NOT a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, furthermore he isn’t even able to distinguish a Murcielago 6.2 coupe from an LP640!

In October 2008 we covered some photos which came across our desks of a Verde Ithaca Modified Nissan GT-R with a matte finish from Singapore rumored to be simply a vinyl cover job. Yesterday I found these pictures of what could be another Verde Ithaca Nissan GT-R. From what I can tell this one appears to be painted and not vinyl wrapped. The similarities include: RHD, both have the same LED aftermarket fog lamps. Differences, this one appears to be painted (checkout the headlight lip vs the vinyl wrapped one) it also has Verde Ithaca painted calipers and rear wing, different wheels and different side skirts. What do you think Josh?

At first the automotive collective balked at the idea of a Porsche SUV, and Porsche delivered what I think is a beautiful extension of their brand with the Porsche Cayenne. We then heard rumours that Porsche was developing a 4 door sedan and just like the wind they blew in the sexy new Porsche Panamera!

Will Ferrari have the same SUV and Ferrari 4 Door Sedan additions coming to their future lineup? Living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; a somewhat northern part of the world that sees a good share of snow during December-April, I would love to see Ferrari SUV’s cruising through slush and snow storms!! From artist Jon Sibal comes a fantastic concept based off the BMW M1 Homage Concept Car that was revealed back in 2008. With styling cues that can kill the unprepared as well as the interesting use of such a huge wing, I do believe Sibal makes the original Homage car look COMPLETELY boring with this new rendition. Below is his detailed story of how he went about designing the BMW M1 PROCAR Concept.

Jon Sibal Explains

“As a BMW fanatic, I was excited when BMW Group Design unveiled the design study M1 Hommage Concept Car at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2008 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the legendary M1 by Giugiaro. My first thoughts were “Oh cool, what about the ProCar?”

“Seeing an original M1 dressed in a ProCar body kit in person, I knew a race version of the new M1 could be a very interesting idea. Needless to say, BMW is due for a supercar of their own to compete with the likes of Audi’s R8, Mercedes Benz’s SLR 722, Porsche CGT, Lexus LF-A etc.”

“So I got working on a full rendering on how an M1 Hommage ProCar might look like if it were ever produced.”

The Design Process – Rebirth of an Icon
“I began the process by studying the different angles of the M1 Concept Car to get a feel for the lines, shapes and curvature of the body. And with any BMW concept car, the design and contours are all new which required a ProCar body kit that suits these lines properly. The “flamed surface” is very evident so to properly convert this M1 to the ProCar, all of these design elements needed to be considered. I sketched out a new wide body kit design making sure that it stays true to the BMW design language by continuing the new lines of the concept car. The front fascia was also modified and given the updated ProCar look. So with Photoshop CS, the new design was applied and rendered. The BMW M1 ProCar is basically a raced-out version of the original street M1 so the addition of the race rear wing was important to complete the conversion along with new super deep dish wheels.”

“Regardless of the accuracy of my speculation to the actual BMW Group Design Team’s design, it will just be awesome to see the M1 ProCar tearing up it up in the ‘ring.”

With today’s release of these 2011 Lamborghini Jota Spy Pics (keep in mind its a mule so it looks just like a Murcielago) on the Nürburgring, there has been lots of chatter and speculation on whether the new Lamborghini model will be named the Jota (reminiscent of the classic one off Lamborghini Muira P400 Jota)

Seeing that the current Lamborghini Murcielago has been around for 7 years and milked to succession, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, Lamborghini Versace and Lamborghini Reventon, it’s about time the raging bull came about in new form, especially with the new Ferrari Enzo FX70 successor which is currently in development.
