Check out this slick little video from AutoExpress’ as they pin the beastly yet beautiful Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG up against the new 2008 BMW V8 M3 Sedan and the Lexus IS-F.

With the winter season running at it’s end, the guys from Auto Motor und Sport came up with the idea of doing an awesome test drive in the snow. They took 3 of the best four-wheel drive cars out on very snowy roads. They tried to find out if Porsche C4S could keep-up with or even break the perfect driving skills of a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Audi RS4: Stuttgart vs Ingolstad/Sant’Agata Bolognese.

How can one not love the sound of the Gallardo as the driver constantly feathers that throttle!!!

Many thanks go out to Josh from RawAutos.com who recently met up with Chris Newman at Leith BMW who gave him the opportunity to test drive the new E92 M3. His review is thorough and accurate and includes some finer points and videos that have yet to be fully reviewed on the web.

“The new M3 pulls in 6th gear like most cars would pull in 2nd or 3rd. It’s an F16 fighter jet with four wheels and no wings. I was sitting, just cruising at a comfortable 70 or so mph in 6th gear when I decided to push the limits. I pushed the gas to the floor, and at 2000 RPM roughly, the car moved to 100 in nothing.”

“At one point I said to the salesman sitting next to me that the car felt like it would rip your face off and ask for seconds.”

A self-confessed Bond fanatic has made an up-to-date version of the wondercar using the Esprit’s spiritual successor, the Lotus Elise, as its base.

This “sQuba” prototype cost €1 million (£750,000), and can dive to a depth of 10m, and will be exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

It was the brainchild of concept car designer, Founder and CEO of Rinspeed Inc. Frank M. Rinderknecht, who said: “For three decades I have tried to imagine how it might be possible to build a car that can fly under water. Now we have made this dream come true.”

His team at Rinspeed replaced the petrol engine with three electric motors, one to power the rear wheels and two for the specially designed propellers. They are capable of taking it to 75mph on land, a more sedate 4mph while cruising in “boat” mode and a positively tranquil 2mph while underwater.

The company also claims that the car is extremely “green” as well, as it is a zero-emission vehicle powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
